俚语甚多。。各种专名，得连蒙带猜。不宜普通英语学习者阅读。

公司店庆时候边打包包裹，边在audible上听完了这本，非常震撼的故事，每次听完心情久久不能平静。这本听更适合我，书上有很多黑人英语读着费劲，audible上读的非常有感情。

这本书的词汇量总体来说不算难。阅读难点主要在俚语。与12 years a slave相比,文学性更加强,书中的人物虽然很多,但都刻画的活灵活现。12 years a slave更加写实,更加震撼。
