脱北三部曲之一，作为纪实很好，但内容远不如nothing to envy，或者并不是适合我的书 1.作者的经历大部分只在耀德，并没有像讲述古拉格之外的民生状况，而我更想了解的是这些ordinary lives 2.男性主观气质强，讲述不算深刻，思考较少

脱北的过程可以很简单，只需买通边防，便可涉水过江，来到＂自由＂的中国，躲过特工，最终抵达南韩。但一想到自己的亲人和其他无辜者将为此遭受牢狱之灾，即使面对自由安定的新生活，也没有人可以放下心头的沉重吧。
