前半段故事讲得很吸引人，可后半段渐渐开始会想，这男孩经历也忒神奇了，恐怖的凶杀案、独自击退本地吉祥物大鳄鱼（？）、被本地黑帮追杀、自家宠物狗变僵尸狗、再次被本地黑帮挟持并遇鬼、独闯老纳粹宅邸再遭挟持……问题是本书并非奇幻风格，读到最后感觉有点失望。
