M.H.艾布拉姆斯（M.H. Abrams, 1912— ）
欧美现当代文学理论家中的大师级人物，二十世纪三十年代就读于哈佛大学、获博士学位。毕业后长期在康乃尔大学任教，成为该校的“英语文学1916级终身教授”。作于1953年的《镜与灯：浪漫主义文论及批评传统》是现代文学理论的扛鼎之作，至今仍是文学批评学界的必读书。他的文字被认为是“批评权威的标准”，使他一再被聘为重要教科书《文学术语》《诺顿英国文学选读》的编者与各版修订者，另著有《文学术语词典》《自然的超自然主义》等。

说来惭愧，作为文学专业的学生，理论方面的书没正经八百读过一本。不是不想读，实在是读不进去。想起上文学理论课时，老师讲德里达，就直接疯了。每个汉字都认识，或者说每个英语单词都认识，连在一起说了啥就不知道了。完全没有共鸣，那真是一段痛苦的日子。之后就干脆放弃了... (展开)
