What a lame story. How incoherent the plot is. What messy writing it has. Only the title and the first paragraph turn out nice.
Heaven. Violence. Rape and Murder of a 14 yo girl. Definitely attracting some eyeballs, making some money. Dirty-ily.
Why Peter Jackson adapts it to a movie I have absolutely no clues. Without emotional and intellectual sparks, this novel is no more than a waste of time and money.

难怪评价不高，情节真的一般，而想表达的情感也很一般。但是开头很吸引人，估计《desperate wife》就是这里抄桥的。

由于一直缺乏耐性，加上太多的声音和影响的感官刺激以至于不那么爱看书，因此书是分阶段看完的。很感谢他的电影拍出了我对书中幻境的描写的想象填充。书和电影，都让我痛哭流涕。
