When I first heard him on TAL, he described himself as 'beloved by all and loved by none'. His humorous yet self-deprecating tone had me erroneously put him in the same category with David Sedaris. It is 4 years later when I finish this book and was truly delighted by the journey. He is honest, modest and philosophical.Thanks for the journey David.

大爱此书！我总觉得，两个David里，Sedaris和Rakoff是对立面，我喜欢Rakoff。如果要选一段上腰封，绝对是撕逼Rent那篇。他不装(at far as literary liberal artsy New Yorkers go)
