I spent reading the book for about 70mins this afternoon because my teacher Rick Wei asked us to. Well, he's a handsome guy and I am somehow looking forward to his lesson. (emmm words of nonsense...)
The main character is called Willy, a simple man who seems a little bit hysterical and self-centered at a certain point. Usually, such person live an ordinary life with effort as well as without effort. Yeah, that's how we live our life too. Personally, I'm not that interested in the description of this kind of life.
However, the author described Willy's house as "an air of the dream dings to the place". He is always struggling to improve his life and sometimes indulging in the past happy moments. Dream keeps him alive while also kills him. This is the first time I came to recognize that dream is not always a good thing.
This reminds me of a book----a man called ove. The main characters are both men with strong beliefs and hardly understood by others. In life, when we encounter these people, we laugh at them, consider them stubborn and abnormal since most of them never succeed. However, when it comes to the very few succeed with their beliefs, we appreciate their geniuses and look for ways to copy their success.
I haven't decided which life to pursue as I believe the most normal one is just hard enough for me.
