[美] 八岛太郎 Taro Yashima
八岛太郎（1908–1994）生于日本鹿儿岛县根占町。本名岩松淳。曾就读于东京美术学校（东京艺术大学前身）。后来为了躲避政治迫害而逃亡美国，并在美国定居，成为美国著名作家，插画家，以精美的儿童图画书作品而闻名于世，1955年创作的《乌鸦太郎》、1958年创作的《雨伞》及1968年创作的Seashore Story，皆获凯迪克银牌奖。
