Heidegger mainly focuses on the nature of being. To him, to be is to be "somewhere." Human existence is existence "in the world." Being-in-the-world is then developed in the notion of "dwelling." Dwelling is not simply to dwell in (and build) a house, but to dwell in and build a whole world to which we are attached. In the regressive and romantic case of the cabin in the Black Forest, everything seemed to have its place and the cabin sat almost organically in the natural world, linking the cosmological to the everyday.
