很小一本小书，两个下午在图书馆翻完。限于篇幅，论证无法展开，严谨性低于预期。大量引用心理学的研究，但其中有些观点无法认同，尤其是personality这个章节。可能为了趣味性，轶事较多。在阅读过程中，有时候要怀疑作者提前预设了很多自己的立场。就genius这个概念而言，书中定义为：an individual who demonstrates exceptional intellectual or creative powers, whether inborn or acquired (or both). 借此，全书大部分时候都是在讨论创造力(creativity). 总结收获：要有超常的表现，相关因素有智力、性格、一段时间的孤独以及可以参考十年法则，这意味着激情、决心、练习等。
