约翰·哈特 John Hart:
1965年出生于美国北卡罗莱纳州。在《顺流而下》的背景罗恩县度过童年。于戴维森学院取得法国文学学士、会计学和法学双硕士学位。曾经活跃于会计、股票中介、刑事辩护等业界,后来辞去职务,立志成为作家。处女作《谎言之王》同时入围“爱伦·坡奖”“安东尼奖”“巴瑞奖”“麦卡维提奖”四项大奖,风光出道。《顺流而下》夺下2008年爱伦坡奖年度最佳小说奖,技惊四座,被视为当代最锐不可当的文学奇才。2009年,第三部作品《最后的孩子》击败前辈大师麦可·康纳利,获英国“钢匕首奖”。2010年《最后的孩子》再次夺下美国“爱伦·坡奖”,一举囊括大西洋两岸最高荣誉。《华盛顿邮报》盛赞约翰•哈特虽仅出版三部作品,但感情刻画之深沉,写作技巧之炉火纯青,已经达到马克•吐温、福克纳等前辈大师的文学高度,并预言年轻的他终将成为大师级的作家。
