Ted Hughes
(1930-1998)
英国著名作家,20世纪最重要的诗人之一。他出生于英国一个偏远而荒凉的小镇迈瑟姆罗伊德,那里质朴、原始的高沼地风景,在他心中留下了抹不去的印迹。他一生出版了九十多部作品,荣获无数国际荣誉,包括哈珀出版奖、毛姆奖等。休斯为孩子创作的儿童文学作品,以悠远的意境和敏锐的洞察力,走进了孩子的内心世界,为孩子营造了一座充满天马行空想象力的城堡。
1957年,荣获哈珀出版奖。
1959年,荣获毛姆奖。
1977年,被授予帝国荣誉勋章。
1984年,被评为桂冠诗人。
1998年,被授予功绩勋章。
