布莱森和朋友徒步著名的阿巴拉契亚小道的经历,翻译得很好。在山里徒步真的很像是禅修,是那种意志力的坚持和注意力的集中,还要加上吃苦耐劳的精神才行。长时间徒步过,才会敬畏自然的伟大和威力。

阿巴拉契亚小道始于1921年全长近3400km,全程有成形路径与完善路标,靠志愿者维护,平均15公里一个遮蔽棚供徒步者休息过夜。曾有人58天跑完全程,平均每天跑约57km。

2012年我就在读这本书了!!!11-12章 说的是我们的姊妹保护区Shenandoah,被"夸"的简直我都想打比尔一顿了!Appalachian Trail和京西古道,今年去考察也重点关注下这个!
