Huang Ho ... labeled every piece with a date ... It is significant, however, that his edition of 1226 did not arrange the poems according to his chronological sequence, but left them as they were in the older editions.
案據黃鶴自跋《年譜辨疑》署嘉定丙子（1216）三月望日，是鶴編次之年譜辨疑成於是年。《四庫提要》以為黃注“至嘉定丙子始克成編”即誤解此。今所見黃注書前均載寶慶丙戌（1226）富沙吳文跋，洪先生此處之“1226”當時指黃氏編次之杜詩版本。"his edition of 1226"即指《杜詩引得序》中所稱黃氏父子所據以編訂之原本。且如《引得序》：“鶴雖於詩題下注明考定之年，而詩篇排列，仍全用吳元本舊次，未嘗前後移易”，是年譜辨疑成於前，改定吳元本刻於後爾。
