chapter thirteen

这一章里 Mr Bennet 的财产继承人Mr Collins 来拜访啦。印象中他是个不怎么讨喜的人物。这一章里看到他和 Mrs Bennet 交锋还挺有意思的。
文章刚开始，Mr Bennet 吊胃口的绝活“猜猜猜”又开始了，只说今晚家里会有贵宾到访，但就不说是谁。Mrs Bennet 第一个猜 Charlotte，说 I hope my dinner are good enough for her. I do not believe she often sees such at home.邻居 Lucas 一家总是 Mrs Bennet 埋汰的对象，嫌人一家子姑娘长得平平无奇啦，老大 Charlotte 还总得赶回家帮着做晚饭啦……现在又说人家里吃的不如自家的好！
又猜了一个 Bingley 后，Mr Bennet 才公布了正确人选 Mr Collins，接下来就是公开了他的信。洋洋洒洒几百字，基本上都在自我介绍（自夸）吧。不过提到继承遗产问题，他说：“I cannot be otherwise than concerned at being the means of injuring your amiable daughters,and beg leave to apologize for it,as well as to assure you of my readiness to make them every possible amends,-but of this hereafter.信里说要补偿几个姑娘，接着又马上说先按下不表，神神秘秘。
接下来大家发表读后感，Elizabeth 跟 Mr Bennet 对他的看法比较准确。
Mr Collins 现身，果然神职人员就是不一样啊，小嘴跟抹了蜜一样，夸夸个不停。在听到 Mrs Bennet 抱怨继承权的时候，他说：“I can assure the young ladies that I come prepared to admire them. At present I will not say more, but perhaps when we are better acquainted..”跟信一样，到底要干嘛啊，欲说又止。最后夸赞晚饭好吃，不知是哪位表妹的手艺，被 Mrs Bennet 狠怼了一下，道歉了一刻钟那么久，真是够那个了的。哈哈哈哈。
