Well written individual articles, badly organized book
Good to cover a lot of krugman’s views, unapologetically on the far left on financial policies. And of course he had tons of data/analysis to back his view on income inequality, tax policies, social security. The articles are well written individually, but it’s just a collection of articles, often very repetitive. Unfortunately, the book doesn’t offer a systematic view on a subject.
His characterization of the conservatives is also shockingly negative. I appreciate the candor. I also found it depressing, whether he’s right or wrong, most likely we are all in the dark on how the system really works on aggregate, especially how it fails.
