Get things done and make the process efficient
I don't know if it will be better if I met this book earlier in my life, but it is never too late to get started anyway.
I finished the first two parts of the book already, and I'll leave the last part when I start my research project next year.
When I picked up this book, I have already had a semester with 3 As and one B. So I knew exactly how to be a "Almost Straight A Sdudent". But the truth is I spend my whole semester struggling in this study process, and I was absolutely a grind. I had some hard times when I could sleep less than 4 hours conticuously for a week, and that killed me. My purpose of reading this book is more concentrated on "study less as well as get straight A".
This book provides a good example of how to do the time management and get things done. I have tried the method before, and I have read about the poromodo before, but things just went well for several days and I forgot everything about time management. This time I tried the method in the book, and it actually works. I have my own version of this to-do list and deadlines, and I'm making it a habbit of mine.
As for the quiz and exam part, I can be an author, LOL. I myself is a master of exams :) But it is still good to know that a lot of straight A people is using the same stratigy as I do.
Until now, the most valuable thing I learned from this book is to do things in short bursts and never wait for a big block of time, which I guess I will never get. AND NEVER PROCRASTINATE!!!!!!!!
This is the first time I write a long comment of a book. I'm sure I will come back and amend it some day in the future.
========== 17/05/2015 Update ==========
As I promised myself, I'm back to write a review for the third chapter. I happen to be doing a one year research project currently, and this surely includes writing research papers. I tried my own way first when creating the research proposal, than that was drag... it made me upset how slow my progress was. Then I picked up this little book and started reading the remaining chapter. It only took me an afternoon to read all the relevant content (methods about writing essays are also included in the book, however it has nothing to do with me), and all I can say is I LOVE THIS BOOK. I almost did everything the author asks the reader NOT to do in my first attempt... this chapter is absolutely providing a great method of writing research paper without so much pain. I'm now on my way of finishing the research proposal as well as the progress report, and this time the process is not frustrating at all.
If you are struggling in writing research paper or have no idea how to get it done, I would strongly recommend this book to you.
In a word, this is a book worth reading. Find the way that suits you, and your college life will be less miserable :).
