P1,Hébert,the revolutionary, never began a number of his news-sheet Le Père Duchêne without introducing a sprinkling of obscenities.
Quoi? Toute une situation révolutionnaire.
P1,These improprieties had no real meaning, but they had significance. In what way? In that they expressed a whole revolution.
P1-2,It too must signify something other than its content and its individual form, something which defines its limits and imposes it as literature. Whence a set of signs unrelated to the ideas, the language or the style, and setting out to give definition, within the body of every possible mode of expression , to the utter separateness of a ritual language.
【法文】:P9,Cet ordre sacral des Signes écrits pose la Littérature comme une institution et tend évidemment à l’abstraire de l’Histoire, car aucun clôture ne se fonde sans une idée de pérennité;
P2, This hieratic equality of written Signs establishes Literature as an institution and clearly tends to place it above History, for no limits can be set without some idea of permanence.
P2,and we can expect that this purely formal history may manifest, in its far from obscure way, a link with the deeper levels of History.
【法文】:P10,On sait que vers la fin du XVIIIe siècle , cette transparence vient à se troubler;
【英文】:P3,it is a well-known fact that towards the end of the eighteenth century this transparency becomes clouded;
【疑问】:troubler(浑浊、模糊)可能被看成了trouver(发现),英文用clouded: unclear in form or expression.
7.
P4,…a kind of narcissism in which the manner of writing is scarcely separable from its instrumental function and merely mirrors itself.
