Comparison with Gnosticism
Seeing the similar landscape as Gnostics, somehow Weil came to love the world/Fati/necessity where goodness suffers (in the best case the combination of goodness and power is a mere coincidence, which is already in the worst case). As she said, combine sorrow and joy mysteriously. She really did. I can not explain. She didn't explain. Something happens in a way in which this world exists. As scientists fail to explain the material world in a strict sense, we can't explain what is happening to us. WE JUST DESCRIBE IT. As it is.
This inability to explain is like the suffering of goodness in silence, being invisible and forsaken to the world. How could we explain? It is already the very beginning/origin of everything, how could we find other foundations for it?
The true gnosis should be this vertical love that can not be explained by the plane.
