巴恩斯的文笔几乎无处不透着他的聪明，反而让偶尔流露的怜悯更动人。

拿宗教和历史开涮。天马行空的想象力，真绝了。 最喜欢第1章诺亚方舟，海难的前面一半，还有犹太邮轮的故事。 中间插的1/2章比较多余，絮絮叨叨，感觉拿掉更好。

第一次读Julian Barnes的作品。作家脑洞真大，也真机智！最喜欢的一篇是Three Simple Stories，黑色幽默显露无疑。
