有关于二战前后日本的城市史、社会史的著作很多,但如何在一部纪录片中用玛丽这样一个历史罅隙中的小人物,来展示一座城市几十年的肌理,是有难度的。这本书就是电影《横滨玛丽》的创作手记,作者带着我们一起走过历史的尘垢,贴近社会的同时,也认识了自己。文笔细腻又充满温情。

纪录片的创作手记,补充了许多纪录片中没有展现出来的细节,比如曾经拍过一段玛丽电影的女导演居然是日本电话色情服务的开先河者,这是万万没想到,我还特地去把《横滨玛丽》翻出来看了一遍,对照着看导演在材料选择上的取舍,非常有意思。纪录片中的玛丽其实不应该说是玛丽本人,而更像是历史与社会集体意识凝聚之下的都市传说,映照出的是横滨这整个独特小世界的投影

其实写的不好,整体太过于啰嗦,不知道是原文还是翻译的问题,玛丽作为主角的文艺作品,以前也有过,切入点都是一个人一座城和一段历史,不由得感叹,其实90年代还是去古未远的年代,而同样的现在,什么都留不下了,记忆历史似乎都是虚幻的存在。

大时代背景下一个出生在清苦家庭女子的一生。 横滨在那个刚刚战败的日本也是一个特殊的地方。特殊的时间,特殊的背景,特殊的讨生活方式浓缩到一个人。 当时间慢慢过去,战争的记忆逐渐消散,但是玛丽还是活在当年,每日盛装打扮,在横滨街头等待着她的恋人。 晚年的玛丽回归平静的生活,但是她已经给横滨这座城市打上了她自己的烙印,她是活着的历史,也是死去的记忆。

读来隐隐有《唐行少女》的感觉,但确实更像一本拍摄手记。“一个女人悲惨的牺牲,才有了今天繁荣的横滨”,诚然如此。
