可能因为编写于九十年代,这本论文集能让人窥见ethnicity作为一个社科概念刚刚被引入北美中国(人类学)研究时的样貌。翻了翻郝瑞的文章,发现他对ethnic group的界定、以及民族志的写法都太老套了。打着巴特的旗号,遵行的却还是斯大林式的定义,有点失望……
