She is currently pursuing an MPhil in Modern Chinese Studies at Cambridge University on a Marshall Scholarship, where her dissertation examines propaganda literature by Northeast writers during the Second Sino-Japanese War....

本作的核心属于我会喜欢的那种化日常为神奇、化缺陷为魔法的设定，也因此我对故事的展开抱有挺高的期待，但是结果是不仅故事有各种问题，就连核心设定也有很严重的问题。 关于银条起作用的机制，作者是这样解释的： You inscribe a word or phrase in one language on one side...

匡写作的亮点和短板都很明显。从语言和翻译的角度切入殖民主义这个点很有意思，但她的写作更像是为了把努力研究到的所有素材全数铺陈出来，却不塑造人物，结果就是大量的重复和细节堆叠。重复也就只是穷举而已，没有递进没有层次，阅读体验非常疲惫无聊。直到最激烈的生死时刻还在掉书袋词源考据，实在让人出戏。

一个在顶级学府学翻译的高材生凭着对自己院系历史的浮想联翩，把迫不及待要兜售给世人的所学专业理论外加当今大学生多少都得懂一点的左派革命思想通通塞进一本小说，只能佩服她的行动力。但作者的写作水平不太稳定，偶尔觉得有点深度，大多时候还是靠校园文学、打怪冒险的套路撑起上述这些本来可以很有趣的元素，读起来很尬。最失望的还是作者的中文翻译水平，让人对靠海外华二代传承中华文化的愿景很难乐观。
