朱成明，湖南常德人，2007年毕业于吉林大学外国语学院英语系，2008年进入北京大学南亚学系（当时东语系）学习印度古代语言，并于2011年于2016年分获北京大学文学硕士、博士学位。主要研究兴趣是法论、利论、史诗等文献中的印度古代政治秩序问题，同时涉及印度哲学、沃格林意识哲学。译者熟练掌握多门语言，英语、德语、西班牙语、巴利文、梵文都有很好的基础。
