通俗历史读物如果就是拿学术研究来注水还不如不写,大本书其实只是在改写Robert Fortune的游记而已。

看的时候心情很复杂:一方面一个英国人偷走了中国的茶种和制茶术(还是在中国人的帮助下),从此中国的茶叶在西方市场再也无法比肩南亚次大陆;另一方面这位植物学家的勇气、毅力、才智和热情又实在令人叹服。
