威尔·贡培兹 Will Gompertz,1965年生,一个会说“单口相声”的艺术评论家,曾被纽约《创意》杂志评为世界上最有创意的50位思想家之一。贡培兹在泰特美术馆担任媒体主管达七年之久,并在BBC的邀请下,担任新成立的艺术频道的第一位主编。他二十多年来笔耕不辍 ,为《泰晤士报》和《卫报》撰写了很多艺术评论,并担任知名艺术批评网站 culturecritic.co.uk 的总编辑,也是英国众多前沿艺术机构的专业顾问。

是本好书,没读完... 主要是旁征博引的画作太多,看一段就得查一下这幅画长什么样子,到最后查的时间比看的时间还多...

超级棒的现代艺术史入门书!认认真真读完学到了好多东西觉得看现代艺术作品时的懵逼程度可以减轻不少了23333作者的语言也超可爱偶尔耍赖,虽然缺了不少东西但涉及到的作品和艺术家都写得很鲜明生动了

非母语的书籍读起来都生涩难懂,但是这又恰恰表达了作者最初的想法,就像这本现代艺术150年,八年前有幸读过中文译本,现在可以好好捧起原版看了

翻译的中文版跟💩一样 英文原版也一般 讲故事太多 而不是把叙述重点放在分析画作上 有注水之嫌
