抱憾，竟然是先读完的英文本。当然，这本书本来就是冯友兰先生在宾大的讲稿。
至于书的内容，70年过去了很多观点未必合理，比方说对老子身份的考究，对佛学的阐述。重点是如何用英文阐述微言大义的中国哲学，很多翻译也非完美，译成说birds and beast就有些多余。但是这种翻译的过程，本身就包含了先生对原典的解释。如果翻译仅仅是把原文还原，实在是少掉了很多意味。happy excursion, sud...抱憾，竟然是先读完的英文本。当然，这本书本来就是冯友兰先生在宾大的讲稿。
