虽然不属于狭义的「哲学家」，反叛休谟，康德，黑格尔而后启存在主义的克尔凯郭尔的宗教写作对思想史的影响不遑多让，结尾引用维特根斯坦的话：诚实的宗教思想家如同走悬索，看来御空而行，却是可以办到的。对亚布拉罕的讨论阐释从道德到信仰之跃，理性与信仰的鸿沟排除了以理知通向神意的路径。
