如果说随笔作家都喜欢自由自在,享受无拘无束的生活的话,无疑,怀特老头就是这样一个人。他的随笔不造作不撒谎,就是那种真诚中所包含的冷幽默,是这老头慢悠悠地对现代社会某些理所当然事物的无声嘲讽。
