可能是刚读完西线无战事看这本有些审美疲劳,对pow的讨论有些意思,但是视角和观点太朴素了。

看完异常沉重,战争、生命,以及成年人复杂的感情……比起叙事主线,更喜欢作者意识流似的“闲扯”。

断断续续读了一年才看完,在goodreads上写了个比这里更长的评,总的来说,对这本书的感觉很复杂,爱恨交织。极度残忍恐怖的丛林那段,我认为是不必要的漫长,而作者又讲究文笔雕琢(英文书评里有人批pretentious),这两者结合在一起,给我不舒服和不合适的感觉。不过我认为作者对要表达的东西完成度很高,再恐怖的记忆也会消退和被时间美化,但留下的伤疤是追随你至死的

文笔非常优雅,文风很抑郁;开头总是在不同的时间线里切换感觉有点混乱,比较难读下去,但到后半部分渐入佳境,我尤其喜欢战争结束后这些人回到各自生活里的故事
