这不是一本事无巨细的自传，确切说讲的是小崔青少年时期的往事和他与母亲的故事。即便抛开叙事技巧、个人美化，里面的事实仍旧是让人震惊的。原来南非的种族隔离制度是这么残酷。而一个好妈妈的爱、勇气和智慧，可以带领孩子穿越这看似铁幕一般的冷酷现实。
