因为爱让希斯克里夫变成了一个极端、冷血、自私的人，但于他而言这份“爱”是一直支撑他走下去的动力。其他人同样是因为爱一次次容忍别人伤害自己，利用自己，为了爱义无反顾，哪怕遍体鳞伤。在那个风雨交加的夜晚，当雨滴落在希斯克利夫消瘦的脸颊上，当他已经意识到自己大限将至时，回顾往昔，我想也许在某种程度上他是幸福的，虽然伤害了很多爱自己的人，但此生从未后悔爱凯瑟琳。

盛名之下，其实一般。 也许书的故事在作者那个年代（19世纪）足以惊天动地，也许是现在的年头见惯了无恶不作的人与丧尽天良的事，我对希思克利夫的形象并不感到惊奇。 故事剧情的叙述是平庸的，人物也是单调的，如果男主人公的恶和疯狂没有引起读者的注意，那这本书给人感觉就只能是很一般的平庸之作了。
