自从十三年前《猎杀红十月号》后之后，再次试图看一本纯文字的英文原版书。600多页，一个白富美的生平自述。不过确实compelling和riveting，清楚明白，不难读。读原版最大的障碍是畏惧感，到后来，就不会强迫自己句句精读，反而比较放松。作为一个大报的发行人、美国的胡舒立，她的生活和全国大多数政要都有交集。她写个人生活可以剖心剖肺，并不避讳隐私，写政治人物却绝不越界，显示了某种令人赞叹的素质

得以窥探美国上流社会的家庭生活及其对社会的影响力 具有这样的社会地位及人生经历的人字里行间这么的谦卑甚至不自信真的很难让人理解 缺点是实在太长了 五年前第一次读根本读不下去 老了五岁后再看才觉得更有意思了
