设定非常有意思。在未来的悉尼，人造的模拟世界与真实世界分界线越来越模糊。有一个有趣的设定：人造世界尽管和真实世界一模一样，包括其中的人和生命都是人造的，但由于科学技术水平所限，人们只能模拟表象，比如运动会出汗，受伤会流血，但无法完全模拟产生这些现象的本质变化，比如化学元素的分泌变化，细胞的生长等等。
