理查德·A.穆勒(Richard A. Muller),1944年生,加州大学伯克利分校荣休物理教授,劳伦斯伯克利国家实验室教职高级科学家、麦克阿瑟基金会研究员。34岁时,他由于在天体物理、放射性同位素定年和光学等领域的发现和创新,获得了美国国家科学基金会颁发的“艾伦· 沃特曼奖”。38岁时又获得“麦克阿瑟天才奖”。2010年,为解决全球变暖问题,他组建了伯克利地球组织(Berkeley Earth)。成员包括他的学生、2011年诺贝尔物理学奖得主索尔·珀尔马特(Saul Perlmutter)。他的导师路易斯·阿尔瓦雷茨(Luis Walter Alvarez)也是世界著名实验物理学家、1968年诺贝尔物理学奖得主。著有科普书《三次大爆炸》《速成物理学家》等。

全文多处数据不一致,计算错误,还有莫名其妙的笔误。作者喜欢简化科学原理,这本来没有什么,但简化后的科学原理仍然应该保证内在逻辑的一致性,而不是变得向片儿汤一样,串不起系统,那样的话学得再多也不过是酒桌装逼知识集。
