Cardozo如果不成为法官，估计也会成为伟大的作家或是哲学家。这本小册子简要阐明了法律现实主义的核心观点，包括法官不可避免地行使了部分立法权以及将社会科学引入法律的必须性。对实证法学和法哲学感兴趣的朋友值得花几个小时将此书通读一遍。
