對香港電影有興趣的人真的可以看看這本，從香港電影早期發展、與荷里活之間的關係、商業電影、武俠電影、古感仔系列、香港新浪潮和文藝電影方方面面都講得很細緻，而且篇章之間會介紹代表的導演。翻譯真的很棒，一點翻譯腔都沒有，專題文章的寫作型式，而且沒有學術文章的咬文嚼字和繞圈子，看起來很通暢。
