林语堂的书籍，真正意义上看的就这一本，给我的感觉像是和一个朋友聊天。我赞同甚至是喜欢他的很多观点，但是，我还是不喜欢抽烟的人，我觉得广大的烟民应该读读他的文章，说了他们很多好话。的确，要是一本书里面全部都是教义或者道理的话，我会觉得在和一个老者说话，只有倾听的份了。看他的书，却有
