Anna's tragedy is interwoven with not only the courtship and marriage of Kitty and Levin but also the lives of many other characters. Rich in incident, powerful in characterization, the novel also expresses Tolstoy's own moral vision. 是时代、是社会谋杀了安娜卡列尼娜。再爱一个人，也不能忘记善待自己。而且，在需要做出抉择的时候，就要果断地做出抉择，如果一个抉择开始将自己撕裂，那么更是要果决地决定。不管什么时候，人总是要选择一种方式活下去。

传统小说写到这里就像即将盛极而衰的巅峰，史诗般的叙事章法与陀氏的精细比，鲜有影响到二十世纪的英美文坛。但也并非以私人的阅读体验就妄断叙事结构乏善可陈。溜冰、狩猎、舞会、春耕…只有俄国小说才吸纳的宏大气魄，徜徉其间酣畅淋漓如若游弋在远东极寒的莽荒原野。
