我真想把Henry James 的名字涂掉写上我的名字。他的原意可能就是在杂志上发个连载的鬼故事赚点小钱,可写着写着就写失控了,扑朔迷离了起来。

读henry james的长句读得脑壳疼,想起之前a portrait of还有一半没读完。帕慕克所说“对小说中心的追逐”也许能表达我对此书的感受,邀请听者也参与到故事的讲述中去。

阅读很痛苦。行文没必要的冗长,堆叠心理描写和复杂句式。女老师就是个hysterical的形象。各吓病和吓死了怕鬼的孩子一个。女教师对男孩的性渴望描写张力很强,也很压抑。不会再读这位作者了

开始读英文书以来第一本中途放弃的书。实在是太难读了,Henry James这个写法看得我有点精神崩溃,除了对话外基本都是云里雾里。
