The book is based on Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). MBCT revolves around a straightforward form of mindfulness meditation which takes just a few minutes a day for the full benefits to be revealed. MBCT has been clinically proven to be at least as effective as drugs for depression and it is recommended by the UK's National Institute of Clincal Excellence - in other words, it works. More importantly it also works for people who are not depressed but who are struggling to keep up with the constant demands of the modern world. MINDFULNESS focuses on promoting joy and peace rather than banishing unhappiness. It's precisely focused to help ordinary people boost their happiness and confidence levels whilst also reducing anxiety, stress and irritability.

随着MBCT的八周课程看完的全书,结合mindfulness practice看此书更make sense。mindfulness is really powerful and life-changing.应该会终身践行。

跟着Oxford Mindfulness Centre的课程读!并没有好好保持练习感觉有些后悔…但的确对自己的情绪有了更多的包容~希望自己能坚持练习!

对于已经实践冥想一年的人来说,此书略浅显。作者想把冥想讲得很系统、层层渐近,而事实是一半过后就不是很成功,很多啰嗦重复,堆砌文字。冥想是一件感性的事情,没有办法做到系统化。不过推荐给想了解冥想的人,书配套的练习可以帮助快速入门;也推荐给冥想一段时间的人,可以闲暇时快快读过,有一些金句让我恍然大悟。
